Local community recycling sites:
There are approximately 130 local community recycling sites located across Kirklees in various car parks such as supermarket car parks.

Household Waste Recycling Centres (HWRCs) are located at:
- Emerald Street (off Hillhouse Lane), Huddersfield, HD1 6BY map
- Bent Ley Road, Meltham, Huddersfield, HD9 4AP map
- Bromley Farm (off Barnsley Road, HD8 8PD map
- Weaving Lane (off Thornhill Road), Dewsbury, WF12 9QR map
- Nab Lane (off Pheasant Drive), Birstall, WF17 0HU map
Kirklees residents can use the above sites for their own household waste provided they enter and leave the site in a vehicle. For health and safety reasons, children under 16 must remain inside the vehicle whilst on site. Kirklees residents are asked to bring their Kirklees residents access permit to the site. For commercial type vehicles, a special permit is required. This commercial vehicle permit is for only bringing domestic (not trade) waste, from your own household only. To apply for a commercial vehicle permit, please click the link below:
