# All Kirklees residents can recycle at home using the green bin scheme and most properties also have a box for recycling glass. The grey bin is for other household waste that cannot be recycled. Green and grey bins are emptied on alternate weeks and the glass box is emptied every 4 weeks.

The collection pattern works like this:

Week 1

Your green recycling bin will be emptied

Week 2

The following week your grey bin will be emptied

Week 3

Your green recycling bin will be emptied and also your glass box

Week 4

Your grey bin will be emptied again

and the process will begin again..

To find your exact collection dates, visit the main Kirklees Council website.

For Christmas bin collection arrangements and to find more information about Council services during this period, please see the Christmas and New Year section of the main Kirklees Council website.
